We are a very active, outgoing couple who have a love for the outdoors, roadtrips, cinema and food. Our previous hosting experience aids us to assist our guests through the initial settling period, as we know at times, there's no place like home. We always take pride in the achievements of our students, regardless of what grade of english they arrive with, there's always improvement!
Our town is very scenic and is famous for hillwalking festivals and international horseshows. We are a short walk from the town which has a large school, gym, pitch & putt, music classes, outdoor astroturf, coffee shop and bars. Cork City is a short commute, which we travel to daily should you wish to explore or meet friends. We are also only a short drive or train ride from the famous historic sites of Killarney and The Blarney Stone.
At the weekends, when school is closed and study is done and in between socialising with your new friends, we like to travel all parts of the country seeing some of Ireland's most historic sites. We always do movie night with plenty of chocolate, pizza and popcorn! We welcome others to share our home, lives and hobbies and hope the experience brings years of happy memories. We encourage everyone to join in our international meal nights where people can share tasty receipes from home.
We have a large spacious clean well decorated home full of energy and a garden where you can enjoy the company of our dogs, have friends over and maybe a bbq - weather permitting, sun is not always plentiful in Ireland. We've 2 rescue dogs, Timmy and Jess who live outdoors. We feel sharing family meals are important, as it's an opportunity to discuss the days events. We encourgage you to engage, interact, communicate with everyone! Learning happens from conversing and meeting people and daily routine activities
