County : Wexford
Hello there. Staying with a Host Family, Homestay, is an excellent way to visit Ireland and experience Irish Culture and learn English the “natural way”. We are the Doyle family, Davy, Sue, Jean(13) and MJ (3). Davy also has a son Eoin (17) that comes to visit every second weekend. We have 2 cats Tiger and Jerry which are outdoor cats. We live in Co Wexford Ireland also known as the 'Sunny South East'. The beach is 3 minutes drive away and the hill of Tara Hill is 1 minute drive. We are a sport loving family. Jean plays camogie (hurling), soccer and football. We love to go to her matches to support her and her team mates. Davy plays American Football, is a trainer for the local football and soccer club and trains Powerlifting. Sue is a stay at home mum and minds kids 2-3 days a week so there is always fun and activities. We are 1 hour away from Dublin and 30 minutes away from Wexford. Our town Gorey is 5 mins drive. We have a large garden where we love to spend time altogether. As we live so close to the sea there is an excellent opportunity to partake in Surf Camps. We are Hosting for Surf/English Camp in July and August 2018. If u wish to do a High School Academic Year and also the Surf Camp we can arrange for you to partake. Our Home Is Your Home x. The distance from my home to school is only a 5 minute drive which I drive you in or there is an option to take the bus. Review from a Student : I will never forget my experience in Ireland! My family was amazing, they taught me a lot about Irish life and habits, they made me visit a lot of beautiful places, they laughed with me and really made me feel like a family member, introducing me to their relatives and friends. I met a lot of amazing people, everyone in Ireland is extremely nice and ready to help you if you need something. I spent two weeks in Ireland and at the end of the period it was very sad to leave. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, you will grow a lot and have so much fun!
